On August 16 and 17, 2023, The 5th Asia Conference on Business and Economic Studies (ACBES 2023) attracted more than 200 scholars from 33 countries in the world. This event, once again, marked the success of the prestige and academic quality of the annual conference series organized by Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES) under the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH).

On the morning of August 16, 2023, the Special Training Workshop in the Academic Series of the 5th Asia Conference on Business and Economic Studies (ACBES 2023), with the theme "Urban Economics - Emerging Issues and Potential Research Directions" was successfully held with the participation of more than 60 guests under Hybrid format.

On the morning of August 16, 2023, the first session initiating the activity series of the 5th Asia Conference on Business and Economic Studies (ACBES 2023) - Special Training Workshop presented by Prof. Jo Bensemann, with the theme titled “Sustainability and Transformation - Studies on Post-COVID-19 Management” which took place successfully with the participation of more than 60 under a Hybrid form.

On the afternoon of August 16, 2023, the Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES) held the annual meeting of the JABES Editorial Board (JABES Annual Meeting) and a special meeting co-organized by JABES and NTU Management Review (NTUMR) of the College of Management in National Taiwan University with the theme “The Role of the Editor and Editor's Essentials”.

On the afternoon of July 27, 2023, the Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES) had a meeting with Can Tho University Journal of Science to exchange experiences in the process of joining SCOPUS. With the achievements in the process of internationalization and joining the prestigious international indexes, especially the fact that JABES was officially recognized in the SCOPUS List in the Q1 quartile, JABES shared practical experiences for Can Tho University Journal of Science.

After 1 year officially recognized in SCOPUS, on May 4, 2023, JABES was announced by Scimago Journal & Country Rank that JABES is ranked the highest percentile Q1 in the field of Economics, Econometrics and Finance.

Recently, the English version of the Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES-E) was officially announced by ABDC to be in this category. This was an event that marks another step forward for UEH in general, and JABES's collective and associates in particular for their constant investment and striving efforts in the process of internationalization, improving academic reputation with the community and worldwide and especially opening up opportunities for Australian and New Zealand scholars to publish their research findings in JABES.

After more than 30 years of operation and constantly improving quality, the Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES) has, step by step, standardized the operation and quality of articles according to international standards with many outstanding achievements. In 2022, JABES will continue to affirm its position as a prestigious economic science journal in Vietnam, with widespread influence among academic researchers, managers, and policymakers, establishing its position in the international scientific community and achieving higher achievements.

The 4th Asia Conference on Business and Economic Studies - ACBES 2022 at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) took place successfully during 3 days, from August 29, 2022 to August 31, 2022. Through the Hybrid format, the Conference attracted 282 attendees, including honored guests, speakers, authors, researchers, lecturers, Ph.D. students, and students with offline and online participants from more than 30 countries around the world. The ACBES 2022 Conference has connected and invited the Top 5 keynote speakers worldwide with academic and practical research topics following the global trend, especially post- COVID-19 topics.

To provide helpful information for young scientists, two workshop sessions, "Quantitative Science Studies and Research Evaluation" and "Aspects of Causal Inference", were organized on August 26th 2021, by the cooperation between the Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES) and Lincoln University (New Zealand), before the ACBES International Conference 2021. The Workshops were successfully held with two keynote speakers, Prof. Wolfgang Glänzel (Editor-in-Chief of Scientometrics, Germany) and Prof. Scott Cunningham (Editor-in-Chief of Technological Forecasting and Social Changes, USA). They attracted more than 130 young researchers from 20 countries to participate in learning, questioning and discussion.
