In the project framework of "Promoting the Enhanced Quality of the English Version of Journal of Economic Development (JED) Intended as a Scopus-Indexed Journal", on the morning of September 28, 2017, at 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu Campus, the Journal of Economic Development belonging to the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) solemnly organized an international conference (ICUEH2017) with the core theme "Policies and Sustainable Economic Development". ICUEH2017 conference was a forum for researchers in Vietnam as well as in other countries to share their research findings related to important fields of economics, especially focusing on sustainable development. |

On November 11, 2016, at 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu Campus, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh (UEH) organized an international conference, "Policies and Sustainable Economic Development", which is part of the project framework of "Renovation of the English version of Journal of Economic Development to meet Scopus standards". |
Under the direction of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) pertaining to the six categories of differentiation strategy, Journal of Economic Development has passed another significant milestone in the process of restructuring toward international publication. As such, according to Decision No.619/GP-BTTTT issued on December 11, 2017 by the Ministry of Information and Communications, it now has a new title: Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES), which officially comes into effect as of January 1, 2018. |
The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) formally announces that Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES) in English version, guided under strategic initiatives for comprehensive restructuring toward international publication, is now included in the database of EMERALD Publishing, officially effective as of May 2018. This is the first journal about economics field in Vietnam, published in EMERALD. |
From 5th - 7th September 2018, at Campus A - 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu St., the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) hosted the 1st Publishing Workshop Funded by the British Academy, in collaboration with the University of Leicester and the Open University (UK). |

From 10th to 14th September 2019, at 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu St., University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Asia Conference on Business and Economic Studies (ACBES) along with two academic workshops (2nd Publishing Workshop and Mini Conference) were organized by Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES), sponsored by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), British Academy, Economic & Social Research Council - E.S.R.C, Huzhou University, China; CFVG and Vietnam Airlines. There have been more than 300 researchers from 27 countries attending these events. |
